New Swag: Equality Check by SAM Collection

We're excited to release a new merchandise collection to you all:

The Equality Check is a collection of abstract and colorful designs inspired by The SHE Mark and equality. The collection was designed by Sarah Anne Muscarella (SAM), a graphic designer that we have been working with at The SHE Mark since the very beginning.

In fact, Sarah helped us ideate the first version of what is now our entire suite of logos. Check them out:

Sarah has also worked with us to build out our Branding Guide for our SHE Certified Community to use. Here's a peek into the amazing work she did:

We have loved working with Sarah because of her positive attitude, her belief in our work and our mission, and her ability to translate what we share with her into beautiful designs and documents. It's not every day that you find a designer that can take your phrasing and put it into visuals, but Sarah has been able to hear us and manifest our design goals, as well as take feedback and give pushback where she feels strongly. Since our initial branding project, we've gone back to work with her on a number of works and are excited to release this latest project in the form of an exclusive SHE Mark Swag collaboration!

Symbology in the Equality Check collection patterns

The designs in the Equality Check collection symbolize equality, forward and upward movement, and natural elements - three core branding elements at The SHE Mark.

Image of a mixed pattern in green with checkboard at the bottom, waves in the middle, and a circles pattern on top with ripples, sunbursts, and half-filled and filled in circles. All designs have an upward and forward movement. There are arrows pointing to 5 elements in the design and explaining their symbolism. These include sunbursts and ripples, half circles representing 50:50 equality, waves for making waves, equality sign in the checkerboard pattern, and upward and forward movement. The equality sign and the upward movement are elements taken from The SHE Mark's main logo.

Equality can be seen in all three patterns: an equality sign makes up the checkerboard pattern - and is taken directly from the "E" in our logo. In the circles and mixed patterns, the half circles represent 50:50 equality. Natural elements representing movement and positivity are in the circle pattern - ripples, sunshine, and waves - can be seen in the circles and mixed patterns. You'll also notice that all three of the designs have forward and upward movement - which is a theme you'll find across The SHE Mark's brand, including the "H" in our SHE Mark logo. Forward and upward is reflective of the direction we envision the world moving in

Sustainable Swag

All items available for sale on our Shopify storefront are made-to-order, meaning they are created when you order them. This allows us to avoid printing unnecessary or unused items, as well as avoid storing those items, both of which decrease our impact on the environment which is a core part of our stakeholder consideration.

We at The SHE Mark are excited to release this second merchandise collaboration collection with Sarah - the Equality Check by SAM - and we think you're going to love some of our new items, too!
